On this episode, Dr. Chi Ebo, a pediatric resident discusses advice on how to navigate intern year and illustrate the skills of a competent resident. What are the first things you need to do on the first day? How can you make yourself more prepared? She focuses on how residency is an ever evolving process through which individuals explore who they are. We also talk about the feelings of inadequacy as a resident and what are the best things to look for when applying to residency programs. She offers tips on how to successfully apply and how her untraditional journey brought her to the pediatric wards.  She also offers resources/tips  which can help with child rearing during this pandemic.We talk about about how she is moving forward with motivating minorities into medicine with the organization NEXTGEN pediatrics. For those who need a source of inspiration, Dr. Chi is transparent with her journey and a terrific representative of perseverance.
