On this 25th episode of the Melaninwhitecoats podcast, we interview Tiana Woolridge, daughter of the late Orlando Woolridge, former NBA star for the LA Lakers. Tiana discusses her childhood experience  and the influence her mother and father instilled in her at a young age. She also is transparent about how the death of her father affected her and the wisdom he imparted on her. Despite her resilience, she reveals her bout of depression, dealing with a horrific injury while playing division 1 collegiate volleyball and the importance of utilizing the resources that are available to you when in a challenging situation. Tiana also discusses her work in the community as an advocate for the pediatric population and her passion for serving the underserved. She also talks about the revelation she made while taking her gap year to pursue an MPH and how she anticipates using the degree to further her future endeavors.
